Was the first and best ever coral trout I've ever tasted when I lived and worked in Captain Cook Motel/Backpackers in the late 90s. Had great pinball machines in store and one under the BBQ area at Captain Cooks.

Holy hell-just ordered a great late dinner leaving me satisfied and satiated. Fresh, delicious and definitely not left hungry. Ordered a crumbed fish burger & a serve of chips (was the small size I think which could easily serve 2 people) rang up & ordered and was ready in 10mins. I usually expect $20+ for a fish burger & chips but was pleasantly surprised when the total was $15! Huge burger & chips- great value! Crumbed fish was 20/10 yum, 2 decent sized pieces (or maybe 1 big size cut in half),cooked wonderfully & succulent with really nice crunchy crumb. Highlight was the fish- Will definitely be back when in Cairns next. Thankyou for a great meal

This place is a must for coral trout and calamari I have been here each time I’m in cairns and it’s exceptional. The chips are not much chop but the crumbed trout is fantastic and the calamari is real and tasted buttery like it should

Fish stunning, Coral trout. Salads excellent. Chips 4.5 soft. Maybe a not so great supplier, not so great cooking temp. But FISH battered , gorgeous!!!

Perfectly cooked fish and chips.. small wait time and salad snap fesh with good variety if there's a better fish and chip shop in cairns I haven't found it.
